Knitting Picnic for WWKIP Day 2018

poster2018

Come get your stitch on outside to celebrate World Wide Knit In Public (WWKIP) Day.

WWKIP Day is the largest knitter run event in the world so on Saturday 9 June, grab your current project, pack a picnic and come and join us in the great outdoors of Kings Heath Park to celebrate.

World Wide Knit In Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each others company. Knitting is traditionally seen as a solitary act, done behind the closed doors of the home. WWKIP Day was created to get knitters out of their houses and into the fresh air.
