Team Yarningham visit EYF

Last weekend Helen and I took a train to visit Edinburgh Yarn Festival.  The festival, now in it’s 5th year was bigger than ever.  This was our second visit to the festival and we had a great time.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

March 2018 Hootenanny

Thanks to everyone who came to our March hootenanny last week.  It was great to meet some new faces and see our regulars.

The night was a bit of a disaster on my part.  I forgot to bring the yarn I needed to work on my project so spent the evening watching other people stitch.

Here is the only photo I managed to take.

Our next stitch hootenanny is Wednesday 11 April, 6-9pm at Tilt Birmingham. Until then, Happy Stitching!

2018 Workshop Tutors : Renee Callahan

We are delighted to also welcome back Renee Callahan.  We had such fantastic feedback from everyone who took part in her sold out brioche stitch workshop last year, it was a no brainer to invite Renee again.

Renee Callahan, aka EastLondonKnit, teaches knitting classes, designs knitting patterns and podcasts about her love of slow fashion and making and sharing beautiful, useful things.

After studying fashion design with knitwear at Central Saint Martins college, Renee began to hoard yarn and a range of knitting machines. She loves textiles and the technical challenge of knitting.

Renee is constantly creating new patterns and combinations of texture and colour and spends as much time as she can hand knitting.

February 2018 Hootenanny

Our most recent hootenanny was on Valentine’s Day and love was in the air – love for yarn that is! Despite the horrible weather we still had a lovely time with some of our regulars.
