Due to circumstances beyond our control, Hand Dyed By Kate has had to withdraw from exhibiting at this year’s Yarningham. We wish her all the best and hope to see her back next year.
We are very pleased to announce our new exhibitor, The Loveliest Yarn Company. Michelle from The Loveliest Yarn Company will be bringing a selection of gorgeous yarns including Life In The Long Grass, Baa Ram Ewe, The Knitting Goddess and her own hand dyed skeins.
We will be holding a raffle at Yarningham to help raise funds for this year’s charity Knit Aid.
Once again our exhibitors have been very generous in donating prizes for you lucky stitchers to win.
We also have a very special star prize but more on that later.

Team Yarningham have been busy with their needles knitting donations for our charity Knit Aid.
Knit Aid is a social enterprise helping knitters to help others in need. Knit Aid was set up as a response to the refugee crisis in Europe, in particular the many refugees that had travelled to France and have been living in cold and harsh conditions.
Knit Aid started their knitted donations with Calais but are proud to have extended our distribution to Dunkirk, various locations in Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria
So, we are asking you our lovely stitchers to pick up those needles and hooks, raid your stash and make something for someone in need.
What can I make/knit/crochet?
Knit Aid work with volunteers who work in the refugee camps to make sure that they are only sending donations which are needed and useful. Because of this, Knit Aid are currently only accepting the following items:

There will be a collection point at this year’s festival accepting donations on behalf of Knit Aid. The collection point will be manned by our LYS City Knits. City Knits will also be selling kits for you to make your own donations and providing pattern advice.
Yarnistry hand make laser cut acessories for both knitting, crochet and anything else yarn based. Currently Yarnistry sell reminder stitch markers, sock blockers, badges and other items.
The Yarn Cafe is a small independent online yarn shop based in Coventry.
The Yarn Cafe stock a wide range of British and luxury yarns and items for knitters and crocheters. The Yarn Cafe have a number of exclusive yarns such as our own brand Heavensphere, Literally Yarn and exclusive colourways from The Knitting Goddess.
The Yarn Cafe also stock exclusive products such as Game of Thrones themed mitts kits and stitch markers and a wide range of patterns, books and notions
Not too long ago, two slightly yarn obsessed friends, Liz and Fiona, with a love of all things magical took their penchant for beautiful hand dyed skeins to another level to create Yarn Angels Ltd.
Yarn Angels produce hand dyed yarn with tender loving care from their home. We love experimenting with colour and fibres and are continuously learning along our journey. Most of our skeins are OOAK but occasionally we have repeatable colours in our shop. The Angels work well together due to Fiona’s passion for bright, contrasting colours and Liz’s love of graduating and complimenting colours.
Whimzy is a small London-based indie dyer. Whimzy is run by Ling, when she’s not chasing after 3 children, her hubby and the dog! Whimzy stock a range of yarns including our exclusive Sokkusu O, a high twist, super squishy, 100% superwash merino yarn.

Places to meet, eat and drink
The British Oak A redbrick pub with a large garden and seating area. Food also available.
Change Kitchen Cafè Award winning vegetarian and vegan caterers who run the cafe within Stirchley Baths.
Artefact (formerly P Cafè) brings art, poetry and quality cafè fare to Stirchley high street. Serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes.
Leverton and Halls is an independent cafè, shop and deli specialising in locally sourced and organic products.
Loaf is a food-based social enterprise. They run an innovative community supported bakery and cookery school. Visit the bakery shop to buy fresh loaves, cakes and pastries, takeaway lunches and useful baking equipment and books.
Wildcat Tap. Micro pub serving cask ale and craft beer. Check their Twitter feed for updates on what beers and ales are on tap.
Lorna Bakes will also have a selection of delicious cakes and baked goods for sale in the new social area.

Wendy’s Yarn Bowls make pottery yarn bowls for enthusiastic knitters and crocheters. Wendy has several sizes from very small for sock knitting projects to singles, doubles, triples, lidded yarn bowls in many glaze colours. Wendy also makes shawl pins and buttons.
