Category is EVERYTHING BUT THE YARN.  Yarningham may be a portmanteau of yarn and Birmingham but there’s more than just yarn in our marketplace.  Today we look at our exhibitors who provide us stitchers with tools, accessories, haberdashery and pattern books.

Beyond Measure is an online shop selling beautiful things for makers. Their range includes fine scissors, handmade buttons, unique pincushions, wooden and leather cases, quality pins, needles, trimmings and more.

An Caitin Beag makes jewellery and accessories for knitters, including silver and gemstone shawl pins, wearable tools and stitch markers.

Knitting patterns designed by Anna Maltz for adventurous, fun-loving knitters. Penguins, Marlisle and all sorts else.

Textile Garden has been selling beautiful buttons, ribbons, shawl pins and other clothing accessories for the past 10 years.  The majority of Textile Garden’s items are exclusive, and are not available elsewhere in the UK.

Yarnistry make and sell unique laser cut items for yarn-based activities.

M.O.E post 3 – NEWBIES

Post 3 in this year’s M.O.E (Meet Our Exhibitors) series.

Category is NEWBIES.  These dyers and producers are fresh to the yarn show game.  We think they could be your new indie dyer crush.

First up Lay Family Yarn. Kelly’s style is uses subtle shades, pastels and speckles on a variety of bases.

Little Mouse House dyes yarn and sock blanks inspired by fantasy, children’s stories and things that make me smile.

Three Violet Buttons hand dyes mostly pima cotton yarn and clothing/accessories.

Sable Yarns has been dyeing yarn since 2011.  Jill runs several yarn clubs a year as well as writing knitting and crochet patterns.

April 2018 Hootenanny

Wednesday evening saw the April edition of our monthly hootenanny.  Thanks to everyone who braved the cold, wet and miserable weather.  There may be little sign of spring but it didn’t put off us stitchers.

M.O.E post 2 – NEIGHBOURS

Today’s category is NEIGHBOURS.  These exhibitors are our yarn neighbours, all a short(ish) journey from Team Yarningham’s base here in Birmingham.

Yarn Angels consists of best friends Liz and Fiona.  Based in Birmingham, their yarn colours are inspired by nature, science fiction and fantasy.

M.O.E post 1 – YARN STORES

Welcome to this year’s series of M.O.E (Meet Our Exhibitors) blog posts.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing and showcasing our wonderful Yarningham exhibitors.

Our first category is Yarn Stores.  Whether bricks and mortar or online an independent yarn shop is a thing of beauty.
