Places to meet, eat and drink

The British Oak A redbrick pub with a large garden and seating area.  Food also available.

Change Kitchen Cafè  Award winning vegetarian and vegan caterers who run the cafe within Stirchley Baths.

Artefact (formerly P Cafè) brings art, poetry and quality cafè fare to Stirchley high street. Serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes.

Leverton and Halls is an independent cafè, shop and deli specialising in locally sourced and organic products.

Loaf is a food-based social enterprise. They run an innovative community supported bakery and cookery school. Visit the bakery shop to buy fresh loaves, cakes and pastries, takeaway lunches and useful baking equipment and books.

Wildcat Tap. Micro pub serving cask ale and craft beer.  Check their Twitter feed for updates on what beers and ales are on tap.

Lorna Bakes will also have a selection of delicious cakes and baked goods for sale in the new social area.

The wait is finally over.

We are very proud to announce this year’s Yarningham exhibitors.

We’ve selected 20 fabulous exhibitors with everything thing from yarn bowls, bespoke knitting notions, hand crafted haberdashery and of course lots and lots of yarn.

Advance tickets are £3.50 (+ booking fee). There are a limited number of advance day tickets so don’t delay!

Yarningham 2017

We are very pleased to announce that we are planning the next edition of Yarninhgam.

Yarningham 2017 will take place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July 2017 and will be held at Stirchley Baths.

We are looking for independent yarn producers to take part.  If you would like to apply please download the application form from our website here.  Just click on the ‘Apply to Exhibit’ text to download the application form.

Applications close on Friday 9 December 2016 and exhibitors will be notified in January 2017.

ChangeKitchen run the cafe at Stirchley Baths, the former Edwardian swimming baths that is our venue for Yarningham.

ChangeKitchen is an exciting social enterprise co-founded in 2010 by trainer and long-term caterer Dr Birgit Kehrer and the well-established Birmingham charity SIFA Fireside.

Since 2012, ChangeKitchen has stood on its own two feet. Birgit and her team are ‘Cooking up Change’ by creating delicious catering for all kinds of events, whilst also offering training and work placements as a stepping stone into employment to those facing social exclusion.

ChangeKitchen’s ethos is for ethical, locally sourced, organic food. They say good food is good for the soul and, ChangeKitchen believe it has the power to change lives.

ChangeKitchen cafe will be open on both days at Yarningham providing a menu of vegetarian and vegan dishes (inc gluten free options) so that everyone can eat from the same menu.

Yarningham

We are very excited to announce Yarningham, our inaugural wool show held here in Birmingham.

Yarningham is a 2 day marketplace for some of our favourite dyers and independent producers from the UK and beyond to exhibit in the heart of the country. Yarningham also features a programme of workshops led by industry specialists.

Taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July and held at Stirchley Baths, a Victorian swimming baths located approx. 3 miles from the city centre, that has been restored into a new community hub.

We’ll be announcing our exhibitors on 1st May, until then you can browse our programme of workshops over on the website here.
