Category is FIBRE.  We here at S&H Towers are always trying to improve Yarningham and your feedback is vital in that process.  Something that comes up regularly is a request for more fibre in the marketplace.  Well this set of exhibitors not only have gorgeous yarn for you to get stitch-y with, they also produce and dye FIBRE.

Jellybeans Yarns sell hand dyed yarns, fibre and project bags. Ashley’s colourways are tonals, variegated or speckled and she enjoys taking custom orders to create something special.

Owl About Yarn is a small business based in Cardiff, Wales catering to the needs, dreams and desires of knitters, crocheters, spinners and felters.  Jennie the owner/operator hand dyes a range of yarns and fibres in a vibrant palette of colours guaranteed to inspire and delight.

Natural Born Dyers use natural dyes to produce yarns and fibre. Their yarns range from 4 ply to cobweb weight on a base of 55% BFL & 45% silk. Fibre consists of single-breed mini batts. Natural Born Dyers also make wooden accessories and sell their own and Boo Knits patterns.

M.O.E post 8 – SPLASHES AND SPECKLES

Post 8 in this year’s series of M.O.E (Meet Our Exhibitors) posts.

Today’s group of exhibitors produce symphonies on yarn, taking a dash of one colour, a spray of another to concoct SPLASHES AND SPECKLES skeins.

Norah George is an indie yarn dyer, inspired by popular culture and nature.

Beehive Yarns create hand dyed yarn with a vintage twist across a range of yarn bases. Their colourways are inspired by music, travel and film and have a retro aesthetic.

Down Sheepy Lane‘s colours are inspired by nature, fandoms and Debbie’s favourite books. Debbie also make drawstring project bags, stitchmarkers and creates themed kits around books or films.

At Unbelievawool they love colour and hope to find at least one or two for everyone. All yarns are dyed in Dorset using ethically sourced yarns.

M.O.E post 7 – SOLIDS AND SATURATED

Post 7 in this year’s M.O.E (Meet Our Exhibitors) series.

This group of exhibitors are known for drenching and steeping their yarns to produce gorgeous SOLIDS AND SATURATED skeins.

First up River Knits.  River Knits hand dye British wool yarns in their floating dye studio – a narrowboat. Yarns range from laceweight, through sock, up to DK in range of colours inspired by our life on the waterways.

River Knits also have a huge selection of mini skeins with 60 colours in total.  They also supply knitting needles and stitch markers.

Phileas Yarns was born out of two passions – travelling and knitting. Inspired by Sylvie’s journeys and wanders – past or yet to come, she has created a collection of affordable hand dyed yarns focused on colour. Every colour has a story behind it, and there is nothing Sylvie likes better than to share these with you.

The Knitting Swede is a UK based business focusing on high quality yarns.  When sourcing yarns Tanja not only looks at the quality but she is also careful to choose ethical British suppliers.

All of Tanja’s yarns are hand-painted or hand-dyed by herself at home. During the dyeing process, she tries to minimize her impact on the environment as well as neutralizing any leftover water.

M.O.E post 4 – EVERYTHING BUT THE YARN

Category is EVERYTHING BUT THE YARN.  Yarningham may be a portmanteau of yarn and Birmingham but there’s more than just yarn in our marketplace.  Today we look at our exhibitors who provide us stitchers with tools, accessories, haberdashery and pattern books.

Beyond Measure is an online shop selling beautiful things for makers. Their range includes fine scissors, handmade buttons, unique pincushions, wooden and leather cases, quality pins, needles, trimmings and more.

Category is NEWBIES.  These dyers and producers are fresh to the yarn show game.  We think they could be your new indie dyer crush.
