Easter Egg Hunt Hootenanny

To celebrate the arrival of Spring we are pleased to announce a one-off special edition of our knitting hootenanny on 31st March at Cherry Reds.

We’ll also be holding an Easter Egg Hunt around the bar.  Entry is £1 per person and there will be a selection of S&H goodies as prizes that we will reveal over the coming weeks.

We also want to ask you a few questions about your yarn buying habits for our potential new venture of a pop up shop.

So dust off your needles and come get your stitch on.  You don’t even have to be good!

Here at S&H HQ we’re pleased to announce another batch of beginners crochet and knitting classes.

Hook Me Up – Beginners Crochet Class £25

Tuesday 7th Oct 6:30 – 9:00pm

Cherry Reds, John Bright Street, Birmingham, B1 1BN

This class is designed for those who are new to crochet or those wanting to brush up on basic skills.  You will learn how to start and finish your crochet and how to produce a chain.  You will also learn basic crochet stitches.

All materials are provided along with hot drinks and a piece of cake.

Pick Up Sticks – Beginners Knitting Class £25

Tuesday 4th Nov 6:30 – 9:00pm

This class is designed for those who are new to knitting or those who would like to reacquaint themselves with the basics.

You will learn how to cast on (using the knit stitch method), knit stitch, purl stitch and casting off.

All materials are provided along with hot drinks and a piece of cake.

Happy New Year Stitchers.

We’re very pleased to announce that we will be holding a PomPom Party at Cherry Reds to launch our new beginners knitting and crochet classes.

We’ll be holding a little taster session where you can have a go at making pompoms in advance of our new beginners classes.  It’ll also be a chance to meet and greet the tutors and sample Cherry Reds’ fine cakes. If you’ve ever wanted to learn to knit or crochet please join us on 4^th Feb at Cherry Reds to find out more.
