knit in @ Created in Birmingham shop

Over the weekend stitches and hos staged a knit in at Created in Birmingham pop up shop.  We took over their sofas and invited people to come and join us, learn to knit and help us create a knitted sign for the shop.

The weekend was a great success with lots of new faces and new knitters.  Unfortunately our goal of knitting Created in Birmingham wasn’t reached but we can finish off what we started at our next monthly meet.

I want to say a big thank you to Pete Ashton and everyone at Created in Birmingham shop for being lovely hosts.  Thanks also to Commercially Inviable DJ’s, Fox, Catweasel, Heat and Light and Kings Heath Radiophonic Workshop for DJ’ing.  A special thanks to Shady Bard for their beautiful acoustic set and Carolyn Morton for yummy cake stand.

Here are some pictures from the weekend
