Team Yarningham visit EYF

Last weekend Helen and I took a train to visit Edinburgh Yarn Festival.  The festival, now in it’s 5th year was bigger than ever.  This was our second visit to the festival and we had a great time.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

March 2018 Hootenanny

Thanks to everyone who came to our March hootenanny last week.  It was great to meet some new faces and see our regulars.

The night was a bit of a disaster on my part.  I forgot to bring the yarn I needed to work on my project so spent the evening watching other people stitch.

Here is the only photo I managed to take.

Our next stitch hootenanny is Wednesday 11 April, 6-9pm at Tilt Birmingham. Until then, Happy Stitching!

Don’t forget that next Wednesday is our monthly stitch up.  We know that it’s Valentines Day, but you love your knitting too, don’t you?

So pack up a project and come get your stitch on.  All are welcome – you don’t even have to be good!

For more details visit our website or visit the Facebook event page.

Hootenanny review – January 2018

Last week Wednesday saw our first hootenanny of the year.

We are starting to build up a regular crew of stitchers who join us each month for some stitching and a pint.  This has got me thinking about doing some sort of public knitting project again.  I’m not sure whether it should be a knit graffiti project or something else.  Best to leave it with me for a while.  These things take time.

If you have any suggestions for projects feel free to get in touch.  We always like to hear from you.  You can send us an email or get in touch via our Facebook page.

Our next hootenanny is on Wednesday 14 February.  More details on our website.  Until then here are a few poorly lit photos from last week.

2018 Hootenanny dates

hootenannies2018lores

We are pleased to announce our 2018 hootenanny dates.

Our monthly stitch ups are a chance to trade tips and tricks, meet new people and plan our stitch revolution whilst supping a pint.

All our hootenannies are held at Tilt,  a multi-functional space that celebrates craft beer, speciality coffee and pinball.

There are Facebook events for each month on our page here, so you can add them to your FB calendar.

So pack up a project and come get your stitch on. Wool and needles provided.

All are welcome, you don’t even have to be good!

December Hootenanny Reminder

So next week will see our last hootenanny of the year.  It’s been really fun resurrecting our monthly meet ups.  We’ve met some wonderful stitchers and I’ve actually got some knitting done too!

We will be back in 2018 with more hootenannies, details to follow shortly.

So pack a project and come get your stitch on with us.

All are welcome, you don’t even have to be good!
