The Real Junk Food Project Birmingham

Final White on Grreen

We are pleased to announce that Yarningham is supporting The Real Junk Food Project Birmingham.

The Real Junk Food Project is a is a concept that started in Leeds in 2013 saving waste food that is edible and providing it back to the public on a pay as you feel basis.  The project believes in feeding bellies, not bins.

The Real Junk Food Project Birmingham has been operating since 2014 – intercepting over 6 tonnes of waste food and serving over 2,000 meals every month.  The project holds regular Pay as You Feel Cafes all over Birmingham,  a Pay as You Feel Sharehouse, a Freegan Box Scheme and pops up at events city wide.

We will be holding a raffle (more details on that later) to raise funds to support this common sense initiative.  Raffle tickets will be available from Yarningham marketplace.
